I WANT YOU IN FRONT OF MY CAMERA - And I know it can be scary.
Trust me I know that it is scary and awkward to think about it. I am always challenging myself to not just hide behind the camera, but to also be in front of the camera and have photos taken of me and my whānau as well. It can be very daunting but I will be your best friend and make you comfortable.
If your whānau loves playing in the mud, dancing in the rain or you are a breastfeeding māmā between piles of laundry I am here for it. This itself is very empowering to see everyday beauty and find uniqueness in seemingly mundane things.
In addition to this, I love empowering women. Falling in love with your self is so important and a very difficult journey. We are our worst critics and seeing that we are worth it is challenging, but so rewarding. I want to show you that you are worthy, beautiful and strong.
We will either shoot in the comfort of your home or outdoors. With having a session in your home we take the awkwardness away from being a stranger somewhere. You do not have to worry about how you need or would like to behave. I will be a friend visiting you at home and just documenting the stage of life you are currently in. There is no need to specifically clean up for me or change anything. I will work with exactly what you have and how you are. Daily life is what inspires me and what fascinates me. There is no need to dress specifically, I want you in your comfortable clothes.
If we take photos outdoors, I have a small, but growing client wardrobe that you can make use of or you can just be yourself and wear whatever you are comfortable in, depending if you go for an empowering or documenting session. We will become one with nature, laugh, cry and enjoy ourselves. If your whānau is involved I am here for the smiles and screams, the running and falling, the sand and leaf-eating and the hide and seeking.
Whatever session you choose the ultimate goal will be beautiful photos that document a core memory for you and that you will cherish forever.
